Fiberforge names David Cornelius as president and CEO
“It is the right time to broaden the talent and reach of our executive team”

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo., January 10, 2012 – Building on a year of growing sales and recognition as a “Colorado Company to Watch,” Fiberforge announced today it has expanded its management team to further accelerate growth.

Technology ventures veteran David Cornelius has been named the company’s president and CEO, following his tenure as Fiberforge managing director. Cornelius, who also serves as director of portfolio development for Two Seven Ventures LLC, brings to Fiberforge a wealth of leadership experience in new ventures, growth strategies, and global business management in various fields including advanced materials, nanotechnology, biotechnology, and alternative energy and semiconductor materials.

“David has an impressive track record of growing companies, boosting performance and driving corporate excellence. As both an MBA and an engineer, his expertise will help Fiberforge further enhance its leadership in the thermoplastic advanced composites industry,” said Todd Mitchell, chairman of the Fiberforge board of directors. “With a strong portfolio of custom projects for clients and higher‐than‐ever global demand for Fiberforge’s innovative technology, it is the right time to broaden the talent and reach of our executive team.”

Besides Cornelius’ experience at Two Seven Ventures – a company that invests in efforts to accelerate society’s transition to lower‐carbon energy use – his past successes include leading companywide efforts to create new growth platforms at Dow Corning Corp., where he was executive director of a new ventures business unit and where he started and led a business and technology incubator. His global experience includes several years in Asia in commercial and business management, and he was CEO of a biosensor and diagnostics company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. Cornelius holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from Central Michigan University. He also has advanced management training from the Harvard Business School and the Ross School at the University of Michigan.

Concurrently, Dr. Jon Fox‐Rubin was named executive vice president of Fiberforge. He will continue to lead strategic projects and oversee business planning, shareholder and employee relations, regulatory affairs, and related corporate business activities. Fox‐Rubin co‐founded Fiberforge, formerly Hypercar, Inc., an automotive technology company that designed a zero‐emission SUV and patented the Fiberforge manufacturing process.
