Fiberforge enables a much more significant penetration of advanced composites with its new semifinished product, tailored blanks. These are direct substitutes for the rectangular flat panel sheet goods widely used today. Tailored blanks are preformed to the shape required by the customers (less scrap), with composite materials placed only where they are needed (less raw material required). As a result, a tailored blank will typically be 50% cheaper for a given application, while offering equal or superior performance.
